Seattle Aquarium

The ocean is so beautiful but it holds such strange and mysterious creatures. A trip to the aquarium is always interesting as it’s the closest thing to being under water, without actually being in it. At times it can be a little scary though. I wonder what would happen if the glass broke. It reminds me of the scene in Titanic when water is rushing into the ship and everything is in utter chaos. I’m sure the aquarium is built with sturdy glass, but it’s always a bit thrilling and scary to think about what would happen if it did break.

The Seattle Aquarium has a good mix of familiar fish and ocean creatures. There was of course the beloved clown fish that starred in Finding Nemo.

I think this one must be a blow fish but I’m not entirely sure.

Outdoors they have marine mammals such as otters and seals!

It was difficult to take photos due to the fence, but they were delightful to watch as they swam around at high speeds! Overall the aquarium was very family friendly and had many activities for children.
