The T.I.ME : Travel In Time

Big chains may have the convenience factor, but it’s the small shops that bring all the good feels. I’ve visited THE T.I.ME twice this month, because I can’t seem to get enough of stationary these days! There’s something incredibly satisfying about writing things down on paper, and I feel like a lot of creativity and inspiration comes from writing. So I’ve really been enjoying writing in my traveler’s notebook lately, and this in turn has fueled my stationary obsession.

If you’re a fan of the Midori Traveler’s Notebooks, then you’ll love the stamping station! They have a wide array of travel-themed stamps, and some of them you can only get stamped in Seoul. I think it would be really cool if each major city had it’s own unique stamp, but I’m not sure if they all do.

The decor was so pretty and the whole place felt cozy with all the warm sunlight flooding through the windows. It was fun browsing through all the shelves to look at what they had, and of course I couldn’t resist doing a bit of shopping during their opening sale. The shop is right out of exit 1 of Ahyeon station in Seoul, so if you’re going to be shopping around Myungdong, Hongdae, or Eedae it might be worth it to swing by for 30 minutes or so to take a look. It’s a little hard to spot because it’s not on the first floor and the stairwell leading up to the shop is easy to pass by without even noticing it. The trick is to walk straight while keeping an eye on the other side of the road. Once you spot the red post office on the other side of the road,  you’re right around where the stairwell should be.

I was pretty excited to pick up the 10th anniversary miniature traveler’s notebook during their opening sale. It had been on my wish list for a while, but as with most limited edition collector items it came with a price tag. I never thought I would get it on sale because it’s a limited item, but I lucked out! I was actually pretty impressed with the contents, because I got to go through the exciting experience of opening and assembling a traveler’s notebook – only this time in mini size. Everything from the packaging to the printed inserts was the same, and I just about melted from the cuteness of it all. I haven’t actually written in it yet as I don’t know what I would want to write in it. That’s the downside of unique collector items, they don’t sell refills. I suppose I could make copies of the inserts and make my own refills, but I’m not sure if I want to go through the trouble of doing that yet.

Other then that, I picked up the stencil and a few more inserts. I love how much you can customize the traveler’s notebook, because it was always somewhat difficult finding a new planner every year. I would always want certain spreads from some planner and other spreads for another, so it’s nice just being able to put whatever I want in my planner. I think I love it even more because it doesn’t have those pesky rings or spirals down the center.
