Lobster Award

Kim and Kip are very honored to announce that we have been given a Lobster Award.  Actually, it’s called a Liebster Award but Kim and Kip are both bad at spelling and German so we call it the Lobster Award. We were awarded the Lobster Award by Scrappy, whom we’ll introduce later in this post.

Liebster means “dearest” in German, and the award is intended to help up-and-coming blogs get the attention they deserve. As with any award, there is a bit of ceremony involved. In order to accept the award, you must:
1. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
2. Link back to the blogger who gave you the award
3. Pick your five favorite blogs, and leave a comment on their blog to let them know they have received the award.

Kim and Kip would like to reward the Lobster Award to the following five dogs!

The Daily Toki

We owe a lot to Toki. The Daily Toki was the first dog blog that we found.  It was our doorway to the dog blog kingdom.  If we hadn’t discovered Toki, who knows how long it would have taken for us to find all the wonderful blogs about and by dogs. With stunning photos and helpful information, Toki’s blog is always such a pleasure to read.  Right now they are getting better from being sick so the posts have been few, but we hope they will be fully recovered in the New Year!

Yuki and Rocket

Sometimes we just want to write all day about how adorable our dogs are, but I think it’s also important to think about the challenges we run into as we raise dogs. Yuki and Rocket is  about the growth that Yuki is going through as her behavior improves. Yuki has a cute brother named Rocket and a new uncle named Spartacus. They’re extremely stylish and their mom is quite the chef!

Happy Bark Days

Do you need to cheer up?  You should visit Happy Bark Days.  Lil’ Miss Red Maple Leaf is the happiest dog I have ever seen, and it’s completely contagious. You can just hear her happy little soul.

Our Westie TOto

TOto is our newest acquaintance but we have already fallen in love with him. There are so many fun videos of TOto to watch on his blog.  This picture is from a video of TOto getting wiped down.  Kip needs to learn a thing or two from TOto about being calm while getting cleaned up.

Yorkie Tails

I think Scrappy from Yorkie Tails just has such a dear warm heart.  She’s the one that gave us the Lobster Award. If you haven’t already seen her Christmas Wishes you should definitely check them out. Me and Kip here at Silently Free would like to thank Scrappy for being such an encouraging dog blogger.  Since we wanted to be able to fit the Lobster Award in our widgets we did a little customization and decided we wanted Scrappy’s picture in our Liebster Award.  Liebster means dearest, and Scrappy is the dearest yorkie we know.  Scrappy was one of the first bloggers to find me and Kip (when we were on blogger for….a couple days) and we were thrilled to find a look-a-like friend.  We hope that she continues to share her love and adventures and accomplish her dream to become an Olympic Skier!
