Tea Time: Aveda Tea

aveda-tea

A relatively new item on my bucket list is to try 100 types of tea. I got my idea from Mighty Girl‘s goal to taste 100 types of fruit. I ran across her blog a few years back, and it’s always been something I’ve wanted to try eventually. It appears I’m finally getting around to eventually, and I think I’ll do mine with tea!

So I want to start out with my current favorite herbal tea. I first tried the Aveda tea when I walked into an Aveda store at University Village in Seattle. They offered me some tea in one of those small sample cups and I loved that it was a herb tea that ended on a sweet note.

This is already my third bottle and as you can see I’ve almost reached the bottom. I bought an extra bottle when I was moving to Korea so once this one runs out I have another on hand. They do have Aveda in Korea but as will all imported goods, it’s more expensive here. Once I run out though, I think I may see if I can make my own version of the Aveda tea. It’s a combination of licorice root, peppermint leaf, sweet fennel, and basil so I’ll see if I can get them and make my own mix. Or maybe I’ll just try plain licorice root tea and see how I like that.
